LBMS NJHS members visited the South Plains Food2Kids warehouse to package hundreds of weekend meals and snacks for students throughout our community!
What do lions get for lunch at the zoo? Thirty minutes - the same as the elephants!
South Elementary first graders set up a regular zoo in the campus Discovery Center to display their animal projects!
LCHS Student Council and NHS members spent some time making sure our community is sparkling as part of the April Texas Trash-Off campaign! Student leaders picked up trash along the school's "adopted" stretch of highway, and were even treated to a tailgate hosted by Atmos Energy!
LCHS Varsity Football season ticket renewal will open May 15! Season ticket holders from the 2022 season will receive a form via email allowing them to renew or non-renew their previously held ticket for the 2023 season. Season tickets will open to the public on June 1. 🏈🏈🏈

Nothing motivates quite like a little friendly competition, so North, South, and West Elementary classes have kicked off the Basic Facts Classic, a month-long virtual competition where students learn, practice, and solve problems using basic math operations! #LCPfamily
West Elementary second-graders are learning about area and practicing the measurement of square footage on various figures in the halls!

Wyatt Burks (or Mr. B, as he is now known) has been saving up points all school year to cash them in and become Principal for the Day at North Elementary! We think he's got a future in school administration!
Thanks to Pirate and Junior Girl Scout Nevalie Calderon for donating cookies to the LCISD Police Department, South Elementary staff, and LCMS staff! Nevalie's cookie sales were 2,596, including over 300 boxes of cookies to donate to the community!

The LCHS Orchestra had the great honor of opening this weekend's Midland RockHounds game with our national anthem! They even received a little assistance from Rocky the RockHound! ⚾🎻
We're proud of our LCISD FFA members from LCHS, LBMS, and LCMS who competed in the Area I CDE competition and did an outstanding job! Several teams have qualified for state!
Congratulations to the LCHS Indoor Percussion section on placing second and bringing home silver from the TECA Championships!
Today was a big day for our new friend, Hopper! This was his first time visiting a school with LCISD's Exec. Director of Student Services Mr. Whitefield to read to students! South Elementary welcomed him with open arms (and lots of head pats and ear scratches). Good boy, Hopper!
