Pre-k students can be enrolled on-campus and kindergarten students can be enrolled online beginning May 1, 2024 for the 2024-25 school year!
Pre-K and Kindergarten Registration
INCOMING PRE-K STUDENTS
LCISD pre-k is open only to students who qualify under one or more of the district's eligibility requirements. For more information, including pre-k eligibility requirements, click here.
Students must be registered by a parent or legal guardian. In order to register a child for pre-k, the following documents are required:
Parent or legal guardian’s ID
Child’s birth certificate
Child’s Social Security card
Current utility bill (water, gas, or electricity), no older than 60 days, displaying name, date, and service address or official lease agreement (name must match parent/guardian’s ID)
Child’s current immunization record (faxes will not be accepted, please provide physical copy; see below for more information)
Proof of pre-k eligibility (for income qualification: proof of income, Medicaid or SNAP information, or EDG number)

INCOMING KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS
Students currently enrolled in LCISD pre-k for the 2023-24 school year will automatically be enrolled in LCISD kindergarten; there is no need to re-register a current LCISD pre-k student.
Students must be registered by a parent or legal guardian. In order to register a child for kindergarten, the following documents are required:
Parent or legal guardian’s ID
Child’s birth certificate
Child’s Social Security card
Current utility bill (water, gas, or electricity), no older than 60 days, displaying name, date, and service address or official lease agreement (name must match parent/guardian’s ID)

IMPORTANT: ENROLLMENT VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS
Students who are four years of age or older are required to have updated vaccination records upon enrollment. Listed below are required vaccines for all students who are at least four years old. A student cannot enroll in pre-k or kindergarten without proof of the following vaccines:
- Diphtheria, tetanus, and whooping cough (pertussis) (DTaP) (fifth dose)
- Polio (IPV) (fourth dose)
- Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR) (second dose)
- Chickenpox (Varicella) (second dose)
- Hepatitis A (HepA) (second dose)
- Hepatitis B (HepB) (third Dose)
You must provide your child's OFFICIAL VACCINE RECORD for enrollment. Print-outs from a patient portal will not be accepted!
An OFFICIAL VACCINE RECORD INCLUDES:
Documentation of vaccines administered that include the signature or stamp of the physician or physician's designee, or public health personnel, is acceptable. Immunization records generated from electronic health record systems must include clinic contact information and the provider's signature/stamp.
An official immunization record generated from a state or local health authority is acceptable.
An official record received from school officials, including a record from another state, is acceptable.
