Thanks to those who braved the elements last week to join us for the annual Lubbock-Cooper Education Foundation benefit concert at Cook's Garage! The event was a hit, and one of our favorite parts was the auction of paintings created and donated by LCHS seniors Jordan Simmons and Jackson Kirkpatrick! Jordan was even on-hand to help auction off his masterpiece! The paintings brought in a total of $4,200 in support of LCP education!

LBMS Student Council spent a morning volunteering at the South Plains Food Bank Grub Farm! They weeded, helped lay a stone walkway, and helped organize donations! This was a great finale to a successful school year of community service!

Due to poor road conditions, LCISD buses will run on pavement and caliche roads only tomorrow, Monday, May 15. Bus riders who live on dirt roads will need alternate transportation to and from school.

South Elementary collected 27,784 bags of recyclable materials as part of H-E-B's recycling challenge! Second grade won the campus competition, collecting 5,888 bags! Thanks for keeping our community clean, South Pirates!
