Covenant Health System provided a Lunch and Learn opportunity to LCMS and LBMS 8th graders. Students worked with healthcare professionals to learn about heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, and temperature. The program encourages students interested in the healthcare field to begin coursework in high school within the Health Science program, which can help them earn a national credential and begin working in the hospital! Due to inclement weather and the potential for increasingly hazardous road conditions overnight, Lubbock-Cooper ISD will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Monday, February 12. Buses will run on pavement only, also on a two-hour delay.
We encourage drivers to utilize the delay to allow themselves plenty of travel time to campuses, and we urge drivers to be very cautious.
