Pom Squad
The Lubbock-Cooper Pom Squad was founded in 2016 by Mrs. Amber Mahan. The team consists of students who have a passion for dance and cheering on the pirates. LCP Pom has two squads, a Varsity squad which consists of 16-18 students and a JV squad which consists of 11-12 students. LCP Pom performs at all football and basketball games. They also travel to compete in various competitions around Texas during the Spring semester.
Tryouts for LCP Pom are held in April each year. If you are interested in being a part of the award winning LCP Pom squad be on the lookout for more information soon.

Mrs. Amber Mahan started the Lubbock-Cooper Dance Department in 2016. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a B.A. in Dance, and teaching certifications in Dance and Physical Education. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old, and is trained in many different styles of dance. She has been teaching dance since 2007 in a variety of styles. She has been the director of Varsity Pom since its creation in 2016, and has won multiple choreography and technique awards from many Pom competition.

Ms. Kayla Mosley joined the Lubbock-Cooper Dance Department in 2021. She is a graduate of Texas State University with a B.F.A. in Dance Education, and teaching certifications in Dance and Physical Education. During her time at Texas State University, she was a proud member of the Texas State Strutters, the largest precision dance team in the nation. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old, and is classically trained in ballet.
