February 15th, which is scheduled as a snow day on the 2009-2010 calendar, will be the day we use to make-up our school closing on January 29th. Students will be attending school February 15th. |
Ralph Garcia joined the Lubbock-Cooper Independent School District in 1985. He is currently in his 21st year working for the district, and his 3rd year as Director of Facilities. Prior to his current position, he was the Maintenance Supervisor for five years, and before joining the Lubbock-Cooper staff, he worked in the grocery-chain business.
His responsibilities as Director of Facilities include overseeing the maintenance department, assisting the Deputy Superintendent, and overseeing any new construction projects in the district. Mr. Garcia also serves as the IPM (Integrated Pest Management) Coordinator for LCISD. And, he holds a Class D Water Operator License issued through the state of Texas.
In May 2006, Mr. Garcia received the Superintendent’s Award of Excellence for his dedication to the district.
He has been married to Rosa (self-employed) for 22 years, and together they have 5 children. David Sells is a fireman/paramedic for the city of Plainview; Renee Sells is a full-time housewife; Alan Sells is a roofer for a local company; Geneva Rumbaugh is a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force; and Christopher Garcia is a full-time student at Texas Tech University, and will be graduating in December of 2006.
