February 15th, which is scheduled as a snow day on the 2009-2010 calendar, will be the day we use to make-up our school closing on January 29th. Students will be attending school February 15th. |
Betsy Taylor is in her eleventh year as Chief Financial Officer of Lubbock-Cooper ISD, having served as the district's payroll supervisor for one year. Prior to joining the staff of Lubbock-Cooper in 1995, Mrs. Taylor worked in the banking industry for fifteen years.
As CFO of the district, Mrs. Taylor is responsible for directing the operations of all financial and business affairs of the district including accounting, payroll, purchasing, risk management, print shop, custodial and cafeteria functions. Mrs. Taylor oversees a yearly district budget of $25 million.
Mrs. Taylor graduated from Texas Christian University with a B.A. in Home Economics. She became a Certified Public Accountant in 1998. Mrs. Taylor is also a Registered Texas School Business Administrator through Texas Association of School Business Officers.
Mrs. Taylor is married to Kevin Taylor, a local business owner. They have three daughters. Priscilla Adams is a recent graduate of the University of Texas and currently works for Family Services of Lincoln, Nebraska. Jessica Taylor is a student at Texas Tech, and Kayla Taylor is a student at the University of Texas.
