21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant
The 21st CCLC grant program is an opportunity for students and their families to continue to learn
new skills and discover new abilities in an extended school day program.
Goals of the Texas 21st CCLC Programs:
The goals include improving student academic scores, attendance, and behavior in the independent school districts represented by the grant programs. The focus of this program provides expanded academic and enrichment opportunities for children attending low performing schools. Additionally, tutorial services are designed to assist students to meet local and state academic standards.

In addition, 21st CCLC activities provide character devlopment, youth development activities, drug and violence prevention programs, technology education programs, as well as art, music, and recreation programs which enhance the academic tutorial components of the program.
